Whether you served in a combat zone overseas or taken calls for service here at home, it can be difficult to try to erase images etched in your brain. If you need to talk to someone immediately, call 988 or text 838255, go to a church, hospital or VA. Life is such a precious gift.
It's hard for people to understand what you have been through and what you deal with and it can be tough to try to explain it. We firmly believe that simply doing something can change your mindset and help get you on the right path. Whether it is working with horses, tying flies, rock climbing or mountain biking, engage in something that brings you joy. While we are not a rehabilitation program or therapeutic riding center we do recommend some organizations that will be able to assist you regardless of your horsemanship abilities. Here list of organizations we encourage you to reach out to if you want to get involved in horsemanship.

Charlie Five is operated out of a private home and we generally do not accept visitors due to liability.
Unfortunately equine liability insurance is very expensive and therefore we do not use volunteers at our facility. If you are interested in volunteering to help when we have an event, drop us a line!
We are willing to help veterans from any era whether they have seen combat or not. We also support members of the First Responder community including police officers, firefighters, dispatchers, people in the medical field. Each application is considered on a case by case basis.
