These organizations verify proof of service and maintain direct knowledge of the individual’s background, character, and readiness.

This is an opportunity to understand their goals, mindset, and commitment to the lifestyle before moving forward.
Selected individuals complete a detailed application.

Applications are reviewed by the Warrior Advisory Board, which consists primarily of individuals who have participated in the Charlie Five program.
The WAB provides insight based on firsthand experience and helps identify candidates who are prepared for the responsibility and commitment required.
Final decisions are made by the Board of Directors.
Selection is based on alignment with the mission, demonstrated commitment, and overall readiness.
Approved participants are matched with a horse suited to their experience, goals, and environment.
This is a placement, not a gift.
Participants enter a structured period of responsibility and care.
